WHICH TECHNIQUES ARE USED IN EAR AESTHETIC SURGERIES?
SURGICAL METHOD
The doctor performs the surgery by making surgical incisions, the size of which is determined by the patient's ear defect.
NON-SURGICAL METHOD
The doctor reshapes the cartilage of the ear and tightens it again using gold threads. He then makes a very small incision behind the ear that allows him to control the cartilage followed by closing the incision.
PRE-EAR AESTHETIC SURGERY PROCEDURES
-
The necessary laboratory and medical tests should be performed before undergoing the surgery.
-
Take the medications prescribed by your doctor to get positive results during and after the surgery.
-
Check your current medications with your doctor to make sure they don't cause any adverse effects during and after the surgery.
-
Avoid smoking at least 2 weeks before the operation.
-
Stop taking medications that cause blood thinning.
HOW IS THE EAR AESTHETIC SURGERY PROCESS?
-
Depending on the patient's condition, the doctor decides on whether a local or general anesthesia will be applied.
-
In order to correct prominent ears, the size of the inner fold of the ear is usually increased, while the cartilage size is reduced to provide a greater concavity of the ear.
-
For other kinds of operations, surgical incisions are usually made in the posterior region of the ear, but sometimes the air must be made in the anterior region to hide it inside the folds inside the ear.
-
The surgical incisions are finalized behind the ear with medical sutures from the outside to prevent any scars.
AFTER EAR AESTHETIC SURGERY PROCEDURES
-
Take the medications that reduce the risk of infection as recommended by the doctor and follow the necessary ear care instructions.
-
Stay at home for at least a week after the surgery.
-
Apply the dressings recommended by your doctor to keep the wound clean and protect it from any infection that may occur.
-
Stay away from sunlight or bad environmental conditions after ear surgery.
-
In case of unusual side effects or complications, contact your doctor immediately.
-
Avoid smoking during the period recommended by your doctor.
