In general, the incision lines are applied when the scars are hidden within the natural lines of the eyelid. For the upper eyelid, the doctor makes a surgical incision in the natural lines of the eyelid, removing excess fat under the skin or tightening the muscles and removing sagging skin. The incision is closed with sutures and the sutures are removed after a week.
