Lip Augmentation
Lip Augmentation is a non-surgical procedure in which a filler is applied to the lips and mouth corners to give the patient an attractive smile.
WHAT IS LIP AUGMENTATION?
Lip Augmentation is a non-surgical procedure in which a filler is applied to the lips and mouth corners to give the patient an attractive smile. The process takes about 30 minutes. The Lip Effect lasts for at least six months, but is repeated at frequencies that you will determine with your doctor to maintain the appropriate lip size.
WHAT ARE LIP AUGMENTATION TECHNIQUES?
Fillings containing hyaluronic acid-like substances are the safest and most common method today. Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance found in the human body that has the ability to give volume.
Lip Augmentation, which has long-lasting but non-permanent results, may take several sessions gradually until the patient gets the desired result. Low-risk side effects such as swelling or allergies are short-lived.
WHO CAN HAVE LIP AUGMENTATION?
Those who have a reasonable expectation about the post-application.
Those without active infection such as oral herpes disease, diabetes, Lupus dermatitis, Blood coagulation, HIV infection, infection with immunodeficiency diseases, and cancer.
PRE-LIP AUGMENTATION PROCEDURES
-
Inform your doctor if you have had any previous infection with lupus.
-
Let your doctor know if you have a specific allergy (i.e. allergy to lidocaine).
-
Inform your doctor about the medications and herbal supplements you have taken recently or continuously.
HOW IS THE LIP AUGMENTATION PERFORMED?
-
Examination and laboratory tests requested by your doctor are performed.
-
Local anesthesia is given to the patient to prevent pain during the injection. (In some cases, a special injection called Nerve Block Injections is given that can numb the mouth completely.)
-
Fillers are injected into the designated areas on the lips using very fine needles.
AFTER-LIP AUGMENTATION PROCEDURES
-
Avoid touching and pressing the injected area.
-
To prevent swelling and pain, apply ice and cold to the injected areas.
-
Inform your doctor in case of swelling or fever after the application.
-
Do not apply cosmetics to your lips for a few days after application.
