WHAT IS A STOMACH BOTOX?​​

Stomach botox is one of the newest and safest applications applied by non-surgical methods. It works in the same system as the botox applied in the face area. Stomach botox is applied by injecting botox into the stomach muscles. Since the contraction of the muscles is significantly reduced with the application, it is a highly preferred method by people who need to lose weight or stay in shape.

 

Stomach botox is performed by laparoscopy without making a surgical incision.

PRE- STOMACH BOTOX PROCEDURES

• Do not eat or drink anything in the period specified by your doctor.

• Stop smoking two weeks before the operation.

• Do not take Aspirin, Ibuprofen and some vitamins for a while (two weeks – one month) before the operation, as they may cause bleeding during the operation.

• Avoid stimulants, green tea, and alcohol.

• Share information with your doctor if you have any digestive system ailments.

• Be careful not to use medications that will affect the stomach working system.​

HOW IS THE STOMACH BOTOX PERFORMED?

1. Before the Stomach botox operation, anesthetic cream or spray is applied to the larynx area. 

2. With the injection needle attached to the end of the endoscopy device, it is descended from the mouth to the stomach.

3. The doctor applies injections at certain rates to the appropriate areas of the stomach wall.

4. The purpose of the injection is to reduce the use of 40%-50% of the stomach muscles.

5. After the injection, the doctor removes out the endoscopy device.

6. Once the application ends, the patients return to their daily life as directed by the doctor.

AFTER-STOMACH BOTOX PROCEDURES

• Ensure you rest on the day you have stomach botox. 

• Do not lift heavy items for 1 week after stomach botox and do not put any weight on your body.

• Eating and drinking is allowed after making sure that the anesthetic effects have disappeared, 

• Do exercises that do not force yourself to increase fat burning. 

• Stick to the nutritional diet given by the doctor.
